Where to Stay for Valencia Marathon 2026
The City of Arts and Sciences is the most convenient area to stay for the Valencia Marathon. The start corrals are located along Avenida del Professor López Piñero, while the finish is near the Hemisfèric. Staying nearby means less walking before the race and an easier return to your hotel afterwards.
City of Arts and Sciences – Closest to the Start & Finish
This is our first choice for marathon runners. Several hotels are located along or close to the streets used for the start corrals, including NH Valencia Las Artes, NH Valencia Las Ciencias and Valenciaflats Ciudad de las Ciencias.
The area also has restaurants, cafés and places to walk around before or after the race. Just remember that the nearest start corral may not be the one assigned to you.
Avenida de Francia – Modern Hotels & Restaurants
Avenida de Francia is another good option, especially around Barceló Valencia and Moontels Valencia Alameda 41.
You’ll be close to the City of Arts and Sciences, with restaurants and shops nearby. It’s a practical location if you want to stay near the marathon without being directly beside the start corrals.
Quatre Carreres – More Hotels Close to the Start
Quatre Carreres covers a larger area south of the City of Arts and Sciences. Hotels such as Medium Valencia and Holiday Inn Express Ciudad de las Ciencias are worth considering.
Some parts of the neighbourhood are very close to the start area, but walking distances vary depending on the hotel and your assigned corral entrance.
Gran Vía & Eixample – Best for Sightseeing
If you’re staying a few extra days, Gran Vía and Eixample are worth considering. You’ll find plenty of restaurants, shops and attractive streets, with Valencia’s historic centre within walking distance.
Hotel Dimar is a good example. It’s farther from the marathon start and finish area, but offers a convenient base for exploring Valencia before or after the race.

Hotels in Valencia can be expensive during marathon weekend, especially near the City of Arts and Sciences. Rooms often sell out months in advance, so it’s best to book early.
Look for a hotel with free cancellation if your plans might change. If you stay farther from the start, check how you’ll reach your assigned start corral on race morning, as road closures may affect transport.

Getting to Your Start Corral
The Valencia Marathon starts on Avenida del Professor López Piñero, near the City of Arts and Sciences. The start corrals stretch along a large section of the road, with different access points depending on your assigned starting wave.
Even if your hotel is directly on the start street, you may need to walk farther to reach the correct entrance. Check your assigned corral and the official runner map before race morning.
After the Finish
The marathon finishes at the City of Arts and Sciences, on the famous blue walkway over the water. After crossing the finish line, runners continue through the post-race area before heading back to their hotels.
Our hotel return walking times are approximate and use the baggage area along Avenida del Profesor López Piñero as a reference point, rather than the finish line itself.
Start entrances, baggage collection and exit arrangements may change, so check the official information for the race before travelling.
